String heavy music has always pleased my ears. Chalk it up to the years I spent on the violin. I came across Lindsey Stirling while clicking through America’s Got Talent videos on YouTube. I watched her rise in popularity and he subsequent crash and burn in the finals. To be honest, I wasn’t sure how someone can traipse across a stage like a deer and still play notes properly on a violin. They can’t. Since then though, she’s built her music career and I’m loving her work. I had her self titled CD in my wishlist for a few months and since nobody took notice I just went ahead and bought it yesterday.
I’m upset at myself for waiting to buy it. The entire album isn’t very musically complicated but it’s a great listen and with the dubstep undertones (is that such a thing?) I’ve been jamming to it for hours. Quite a few of the songs are set to video on her YouTube channel so definitely check her out.
