I visited my parents this weekened and their knockout roses are just blooming. I got a couple shots I really liked.¬† I think Iím going to go to Home Depot and buy some for the entire length of the right side of my house. Thatís a lot of flowers, but it would be spectacular next year.
Both images are wallpaper size, if youíre so inclined to use them.
I only like that last photo because itís got an ant butt in it. You can tell Iíve been leaning towards vintage washes in my photos.
Iíve been working 11+ hour days at work. Sounds like it sucks. Probably because it does. One good thing about staying late is that I catch the sunset coming back from work. These are just crappy phonecam pictures taken while driving but Ö Georgia has beautiful sunsets.¬† Since my drive is less than 10 minutes ( and now, about 4 hours before sunset ), I barely ever see them.
Also. I canít stop listening to this. Itís my dance in my cube alone song.
Yeah this post was really about nothing.
When I first started dabbling into photography, I focused on things that generally didn’t move. Flowers, buttons, textures, etc… were my focus. I later expanded to include panoramas of landscapes and cityscapes but that still involved mostly non-moving subjects. ¬†Lately though (and by lately, I mean the last 2 years or so) I’ve started focusing a little more on people. ¬† It’s actually a challenge because expressions come and go quickly. ¬†I like¬†children¬†though. They have expressions without restraint. Most people start putting on their camera-faces as soon as I pull out the big fat camera.
Here’s a few of my nieces (2nd cousins..? whatever).
Here’s some examples (amateur, I know) of kids I’ve been shooting.
Lately, my camera ¬†has been having problems functioning and I’m still trying to get my hands on a T2i. It is sold out everywhere. I decided against a 7D because I’m just not that professional. Instead I’m going to spend the extra 800 dollars on a nice new lens. ¬†I will probably need a new camera in about three years anyway, again.
Since spring is upon us,  I wanted to showcase some beautiful spring-themed photography from other photographers!
